(18th April) DEFIBRILLATORS NOW INSTALLED

Both defibrillators have now been installed outside Milton Combe and Clearbrook Village Halls.  The Parish Council is currently looking into the possibility of providing free training to the community.  Watch this space for news.

(9th April 2018) ANNOUNCEMENT: ANNUAL PARISH MEETING FOR PARISHIONERS: WEDNESDAY, 18TH APRIL AT 7.30PM AT CLEARBROOK VILLAGE HALL

The Parish Council is holding its Annual Parish Meeting at Clearbrook Village Hall on Wednesday 18th April at 7.30pm.  The meeting is for Parishioners to come and have their say about what they want for the parish and to voice any concerns they may have. At the meeting there will be representatives from West Devon Borough Council to give information on Recycling, Locality Matters and the Joint Local Plan. See poster here.

(9th April 2018) NEW DEFIBRILLATORS ANNOUNCED FOR MILTON COMBE AND CLEARBROOK

We are pleased to announce that the parish council has been awarded grant funding from the Town and Parish (TAP) fund, administered by West Devon Borough Council to provide two new defibrillators outside the main entrances to Milton Combe and Clearbrook Village Halls.  The PC has funded the installation of two heated cabinets for the defibrillators to be stored in.  The cabinets were installed last week and the defibrillators will be placed in the cabinets later this week.  We are also in the process of orgainising training in the use of the units for anyone who wishes to know how to use them safely and effectively.

There are also two other defibrillators installed in the parish, their locations are:

The Drake Manor Inn at Buckland Monachorum and;

Outside the Doctors Surgery at Yelverton

 (7th April 2018)  GRANT FUNDING SECURED BY PARISH COUNCIL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF WETLAND NATURE RESERVE

The Parish Council has received grant funding to help establish a wetland nature reserve in part of Crapstone Field.  The funding has been pledged by the Town and Parish Fund (TAP) administered by West Devon Borough Council, at the March 2018 Southern Links meeting.  Cllr Sue Woollacott who is spearheading the project said that she is 'so excited to have been given the money which will kick start the project, the grant money along with £500.00 funding provided by Buckland Monachorum Parish Council will be able to provide new bat and bird boxes as well as paying for some conservation works to help establish the reserve'.  The Parish Council recently approved a 5-year management plan for the wetland nature reserve with expert advice from Devon Wildlife rust and Plymouth Environment Action (PEA).
